Not sure which one? Pick the closest, or just book a visit. The whole point of a breastfeeding medicine visit is that we untangle it for you.

How a visit works

  • We watch a real feed and do a weighted feed when it helps
  • We examine both of you, from latch and supply to pain, mastitis, and your baby’s weight and jaundice
  • We treat what we can on the spot, prescribe when needed, and do a minimally invasive tongue-tie release only when truly indicated
  • You leave with a written plan, and we coordinate with your pediatrician and OB

Questions parents ask us

I’m not sure what’s wrong with feeding. Where do I start?

Start with us. You don’t have to figure out whether it’s a latch issue, a supply issue, a tongue-tie, or something medical. We watch a real feed, weigh what your baby takes, examine you both, and tell you what’s actually going on, with a plan.

Is what I’m feeling normal, or a real problem?

Both can be true. A lot of early feeding is hard but normal. Pain that doesn’t ease, a baby who isn’t gaining, or feeding that never feels right are worth a medical look rather than “just giving it time.”

How fast can I be seen?

We keep room for new families and can usually see you the same week, in clinic or at home across Southern Arizona.

Do you see the baby, me, or both?

Both, together. Breastfeeding is a team sport, so you and your baby are each our patient: each of you gets your own history, exam, and diagnosis, with treatment for whatever we find, in one shared visit. We then build it into a single feeding plan around both of your goals.
